Excelsior Academy

We work with Excelsior Academy 4 days a week Tuesday to Friday, this is a school referral only.

Programme Includes:-

• Issue based Awareness courses, some of the sessions are drugs and alcohol researching drugs and designing posters on their findings for awareness, sexual health, STI Sexual Transmitted Infections, teenage pregnancy, C.Card

• Art and design this includes working on canvas, designing picture frames, working with glasses and cups, problem solve

• Independent / Health Living Skills, learning how to shop for food on a budget and cook healthy meals

• Plan and evaluate own trips, groups will learn how to plan for future projects and prepare for trips

• Exhibitions, showcase the groups art and design work

• Graffiti Art Workshops, groups will design own logos, murals, canvases and sketches

• Using other Agencies such as Teenage Kicks for Sexual Health, Fire Station for TWOC (Take without owners consent) Awareness

• Accreditation, certificates of achievement, Life Routs Certificate

• Young People from Excelsior Academy can also invite workers for lunch at the academy to socialise

There will be an Award Ceremony at Scotswood Area Strategy AGM
