Community Diner

Provides drop-in facilities for the area, employs and trains local residents and forms a base for much of the family support work.

 

Community support centre

The centre provides offices, photocopying, crèche, conference and meeting facilities and access to advice and support for the local community.

 

Family and Child support programme

This project organises a range of family activities and offers a support service for families in crisis.

 

Regeneration project

Designed to engage the local community in regeneration issues, in particular through the development of a community newspaper.

 

Community research unit

This project carries out research and evaluation on behalf of the local communities of the west end.

 

Junior youth inclusion programme

Works with 9 – 13 year old at risk in the North Benwell Area.

 

Senior youth inclusion programme

Works with 11 – 18 year olds in the Elswick and Arthur’s Hill area.

 

Health project

Working with young people around sexual health and drugs.

A joint programme of work, alongside four other community organisations in the west end, designed to build an effective community infrastructure across the west end.
